System Dashboard

We have added a new system-wide dashboard that shows a range of metrics, including outstanding checklists and certificates, as well as year-on-year race entry data.

This dashboard is now the default landing page when accessing the race office side of the system, instead of taking you directly to the Races page.

We’ve added a toggle that updates the data to include a two-year date range for events that are run biennially. This can be turned on within ‘Your Setup’ > ‘Currency & Language’.

Additional widgets will be added over time. If you have suggestions for other metrics you would like to see, please email support@nautical-cloud.com.

Updated menus

We have updated the menu design to give it a more modern, less cluttered layout by grouping tabs into general sections with dropdowns.

No tabs have been removed as part of this change.

This menu update applies to all menus within the race office.

The new racing app

We have made a major update to the Nautical Cloud Competitor App, which has now been renamed to the Nautical Cloud Racing App.

We have now opened the app to everyone, allowing spectators to add events from a global events list. This list includes all events that are using the Racing App, and spectators can select events and add them to their list.

Once added, spectators can view the event overview and noticeboard. They will also receive notifications when a race status changes or when a new document is uploaded to the noticeboard.

This is not a new app and only requires an update to display the new name and features.

Spectators do not need a Nautical Cloud account. They only need to enter an email address and verify it using a code sent to that email.

Ability to reset a custom online account question

We have added a new feature to custom account questions that allows an organiser to reset answers for a question.

Once a question has been reset, competitors will be required to complete it again the next time they log in.

To reset a question, when in the custom online account question’s tab use the Select Action dropdown against the question to.

Override email address communications are sent from

We have added a new feature that allows a different local part to be used when sending emails. This also allows competitors to reply directly to an event-specific email address rather than a generic one.

You can also configure the Communication From Name that competitors see when an email is sent as well.

These settings can be configured within the event details by toggling Send communications from a different email address?

This means a single event can use a different email address if required. The same domain must still be used.

Regatta daily pricing

We’ve introduced a new pricing structure for regattas. Organisers can now set day-by-day pricing as well as an overall regatta entry fee, allowing competitors to enter for a single day, multiple days, or the full regatta. This gives organisers greater flexibility when structuring pricing for their events.

If competitors select individual days and the total cost exceeds the full regatta price, they will only be charged the overall regatta fee, while remaining entered only in the days they selected.

When creating a price band, you will be able to set both the full regatta price as well as the daily entry price. Once this has been configured, you can select which dates competitors are able to enter.

This feature can be enabled within a price list using the ‘Use Daily Regatta Price Structure?’ toggle.
