What’s New for the Web
Notices to Competitors
A new Notice to Competitors section has been added to the Notice Board. Within each notice you can include a title and body which includes a rich text editor for clear formatting, as well as issue date/time and publish status, consistent with other documents on the Notice Board. When adding a notice, a notice number will be automatically generated when the notice is published.Published notices appear under a new “Notice to Competitors” heading on the event’s public Notice Board. Each entry displays the Notice Number, title, and issue date/time, ordered by the most recent first.Notices to Competitors automatically appear in the competitor app Notice Board along with a push notification to the user on each device.Notice Board Latest Post
A new section has been added to the Notice Board: Enable Notice Board Latest Post. This lets you toggle a highlight panel on or off. When enabled, you can enter a Header and Text, which will display at the top of the public Notice Board above the Notice of Race. This gives organisers a quick way to surface timely updates without creating a full document—for example, race committee boat docking times or protest limit times. Updates to this also send a push notification to users of the competitor app.Crew Task Reminders
A new option has been added to make it easier to notify crew members about outstanding tasks.A new button has been added to the quick actions section on the dashboard of an event called “Send Task Reminders to Crew.”This option allows Race Office Users to send reminders for any incomplete crew tasks, in addition to those sent to entrants.Series Discards
We’ve added a Series Discard table to the scoring options within the Series Details. This allows you to define rules such as “after x races, discard x races.” This update makes managing discards far simpler, as the rules no longer need to be manually adjusted each time a new race is scored. You can override all these options at a series class level if required. For example, an Overall Class might have different discard behavior than the other classes in the series.Entering Boats as a Company
We’ve added a new feature at checkout that allows a race purchaser to enter as a company. Once the purchase is complete, the purchaser is shown a short guide explaining how to assign the race entry to a different account within the system.Once a user assigns a race entry to another user, they keep control of the transactions, but the assigned user can manage aspects like the crew and compliance. On the Race Office side, you can now filter race entries by boats entered as companies, and the company name is visible within each race entry. If a purchaser is entering multiple boats, the system will remember the toggle and company name so they don’t need to input this every time.Auto Assign Classes
We have replaced Auto Assign Classes by TCC/TCF with a new option called Auto Assign Classes. This can now be toggled on at the division level. When enabled, if an entry falls within a class band of that division, the race entry will automatically be placed into the correct class without a race office user needing to assign it manually.Rating Changes Approval
A new approval process has been introduced to help administrators manage rating changes more effectively where tighter validation is required.A new toggle, “Rating Changes Need Race Office Approval,” has been added to the Boat Detail section under Race Requirements. When enabled, the system will now require Race Office approval for any rating changes submitted by entrants. If approval is required, a new “Rating Status” field appears on each race entry, showing one of the following statuses:- No action required yet
- Pending approval
- Rating rejected
- Rating approved
- A new race entry includes a current-year rating certificate.
- A new or updated rating certificate is uploaded.
- A Race Office links a new rating certificate to an entry.
Manual Scoring Recalculation
A new Manual Recalculation button has been added to races, allowing Race Offices to re-run the scoring process after any changes have been made to the scoring system. When selected, the system recalculates all results for that race using the updated scoring system.Whenever the scoring system or non-finisher scoring options are changed, a message will now appear reminding Race Office Users that any races already scored will need to be recalculated using the Manual Recalculation button before being re-scored if required.Scoring Notes
Updates have been made to how scoring notes and protests are managed and displayed within race results. Race Office users can now add and amend scoring notes directly when clicking the yellow bell icon on the Finish Times page, with the character limit for scoring notes increased to 200 characters. The results display has also been improved for greater clarity. Boats with an active protest will now appear highlighted in red, even if they also have a scoring note. Boats that have a scoring note only (and no protest) will appear highlighted in amber. These updates make it easier to distinguish between protested entries and those with general scoring notes in the results view.Team Scoring
A new Team Scoring feature has been introduced, allowing you to create team awards that competitors can enter and manage themselves. Teams can choose their own name, upload a logo, and submit their team for approval. Once approved, the team will appear on the Team Award’s Who’s Entered list as well as in the published results. Organisers can also apply an additional fee when a team is entered.Team awards can be scored using one of the following methods:- Decimal Standing Finishers, ranked by Division or Rating Authority
- Total Corrected Time, Division only
- Manual Points, assigned directly by organisers
- Use a Single Class’s Series Score, pulling the existing class results
- Overall Fleet Points (Finishers Method), by Division, by Rating Authority or Cross Divisional
