Performance Improvements
We have made substantial improvements in reducing the file sizes of our public-facing pages, such as the “Who’s Entered” and “Results” sections. These updates enhance search engine indexing and user accessibility. Additionally, we have implemented advanced caching strategies on our edge servers. This optimization ensures our service can handle sudden high user traffic efficiently without compromising performance.
Corrected Time Penalties
The system now supports both elapsed time and corrected time penalties.
Race Dashboard – Same crew member in more than one crew list alert
We’ve introduced alerts on the race co-pilot that display contacts listed in multiple crew lists for the current race. This enhancement enables you to identify any crew lists that have not been updated correctly.
Race Results Archive
We added the ability to create links to historic race results that can be document downloads or URLs that point to external sites.
This is particularly useful if you want to add historic race results alongside your results that are generated in NC and making the link seamless to the user on the race results page.
Programme Add-ins
Similar to archive results, we added the ability to create links to programme items that are not races or events in NC. These can be document downloads or URLs that point to external sites.
A good use case for this is when you want to show a social event in the programme, with its date alongside races.
Ability to end proposals at the approved stage
Proposals on races enable you to have a competitor submit their proposal for competing.
You can then approve that proposal and mark the proposal as qualified at a later stage.
Once the proposal is approved it still shows an alert that an entrant needs to confirm their qualification status with the race office and the tab shows in red.
With this option selected “Proposal stage ends at accepted” you can skip the qualification stage and show the proposal in green once it has been accepted.
Added Expired Certificates in dropdown options
Race officers can now show expired certificates in the race office.
Ability to add a custom link to the logo in the top left of the competitor portal
A new setting has been added called “Nav Menu Portal Logo Link“ in Your Setup / Branding.
Whan a user clicks on your logo positioned at the top left of the competitor portal, they will be directed to the URL set in this setting.
Regattas and Muti-Series Events
Support for Advanced country ORC ratings has been added to regatta races. More features that were only available at the race level have been added to regattas including auto class assignment options and the ability to see who is assigned to what classes and divisions from the class and division areas of a regatta.
You can now override the regatta races to count on each class separately. One class may have more or less discards that another in the cumulative results table.
Use different rating for a specific race in a regatta
We have added the option to set individual races in a regatta to use their own ratings. This is useful if you have a rating change during the regatta or if you use course-based ratings that change race by race.
Once this option is set, a new menu item appears, “Race Specific Ratings”.
You can click on the division and pick a different scoring type or within the division choose to change an individual boats rating for that race only.
Regatta Team Results
We have added the ability to show team scores in a regatta race.
When you enable team scores, you can specify a name of the team cumulative table and add teams to the regatta.
Once teams are added, a new button appears on each race entry to enable you assign a race entry to one or more teams.
Once scored, the team cumulative table will be available from the results and notice board pages.
The scores are the combined scores of all race entries in each team for each race of the regatta that has been scored to the regatta cumulative table.
Ability to delete a member account charge
We’ve expanded the functionality for race entries charged to a member’s club account. You can now reverse these charges by deleting the associated transaction directly from the race entry. This update provides greater flexibility in managing financial transactions.
Fixed – Ability to add a boat even as a crew member
We resolved an issue where crew members could inadvertently add a boat when clicking “Enter Race” from the home page, despite not having access to manage the boat afterward due to the absence of a boat menu for crew profiles. Now, if a crew member selects “Enter Race” and they are not an entry manager, the system will prompt them to switch their profile to an entry manager, ensuring full access and functionality.
SMS Deliverability in the US
All SMS messages sent to a number with +1 as the country code, are now routed through our US number. +1(857) 520-9926. This will ensure better deliverability in the US.
Soon to be released:
Emergency contacts download
A system setting can be made to enable a download crew emergency contacts button. This will allow someone who manages the race entry to download the emergency contact details for their crew members on their race entry.
